Enriching Learning

At Sacred Heart School, our approach to the curriculum is unique: with a strong focus upon Academics, Art, Music and a range of Sports. We have many visitors to school and undertake school visits in order to make learning a 'real- life' experience for our children.  We are currently building and developing a 'forest school'.

On Fridays, the children take part in enrichment activities; music, art and sport. We offer instrumental tuition taught by Mrs Rhodes and Mr Form and every year we welcome Sowerby Music where the children experience a live concert and take part in a workshop. We also have a school orchestra which open to children in KS2.

At Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Primary School, we foster creativity, enrich learning and find the best ways to inspire in our pupils a joy and commitment to learning that will last a lifetime.

We have a creative and innovative approach to our curriculum and our aim is to develop an outstanding approach to the quality of our learning, teaching and assessment.

Please have a look at some photos of our activities that enrich learning for all of our pupils on our 'A Year in the Life...'  page and our 'Forest School' page.
