 We greatly value the interest and involvement of parents. The school recognises that parents are the first educators of their children and appreciates the need for real partnership between the school and home for the most beneficial educational progress.

 

As a school, we are continually looking at ways in which to improve the learning outcomes for all of our pupils. As a staff, we always discuss and agree any changes that are happening in school and ensure that the changes are for the benefit of the pupils. Any changes that are made are always carefully thought out and planned over a long period of time. Parents and carers are always informed of these changes and we always welcome comments and feedback.

Thank you for your co-operation and supporting our belief that high standards in everything that we do in all areas of the school promote positive behaviour, support effective learning and teaching and contribute to the ethos of our school.

‘Open Door’ Information for parents and carers

Sacred Heart RC Primary School operates an ‘Open Door’ ethos to parents. The purpose of our Open Door ethos is to encourage open communication, feedback and discussion.

 We value the input parents make to the school. If you have any worries or concerns about your child’s education, then we believe that it is far better that you come into school and discuss them.

In the first case, this will be with the class teacher and then, if necessary, with the Head Teacher. Following this process allows issues to be resolved and explained.

Staff will listen to your concerns and work with you to resolve any issues that you might have. Staff and parents are expected to be reasonable and fair to all parties. It is in the best interests of all our children to work together.

First contact should always be with your child's teacher through our open door availability between 3.05pm—3.30pm each school day.
