 Inclusion and Special Educational Needs

Sacred Heart RC Primary is committed to social inclusion and equal opportunities for all children whatever their needs. We believe that all children have the right of access to all aspects of the curriculum and the school regards it as a duty to ensure all children achieve this. We work closely with parents and children to achieve the maximum potential for every pupil.

All children and young people are entitled to an education that enables them to make progress so that they achieve their best, become confident individuals living fulfilling lives, and make a successful transition into adulthood, whether into employment, further or higher education or training.

Our SEND Information Report provides information for parents and carers of children who have Special Educational Needs or a disability (SEND) about the support you will receive at our school. We provide for all kinds of SEND and work hard to meet the needs of every child.

Admission Arrangements for pupils with SEN or disabilities

Decisions on the admission of pupils with a statement of special educational need / Education, Health and Care plan are made by the Local Authority.

The admission arrangements for pupils without a statement of special educational needs / Education, Health and Care Plan do not discriminate against or disadvantage disabled children or those with special educational needs and are in line with the school's admission policy.

Our SEND / Inclusion Co-ordinator is Miss Collings.
